The Holiday Inn (SunSpree Resort Hotel & Spa), soon to be called just The Holiday Inn, located in Montego Bay, Jamaica, is a hotel which offered more than just your typical vacation amenities.  Their gardens throughout this hotel was captivating!  They were well maintained everyday and you could see the workers took pride in the colourful surroundings of nature they had created.

Not only the people of Jamaica are friendly, but so are the animals.  Even the fishes!  We were suprise to see how close to shore they swam with people swimming in the same area! Check out that black bird below resting on a sign amongst a garden...

1 SPRING TIME in Ontario, CANADA

Since Spring is officially here but is taking a LONG time to show it's face, we'll post these snapshots of spring-time trees/sceneries we took several years ago in Ontario, Canada. Enjoy!

It was a beautiful sunny, albeit windy, day back in April of 2008, in Oostende, Belgium.  Perfect for the sails and even better for picture taking.  We went wild with the pictures as you can see!

Ok guys!  This is it!  The grand finale!  Let's now see how everything looks after all the renovations have been done, starting with that wall mural across from the dining room, a bit from the upstairs lounge adjacent to this wall and then working our way around to the main hallway, elevator and back!

Remember the wall with the 4 doors two of which were done?  Now it's time to see what's going on with the other 2 plus the final touches around the elevator.

It's suppose to be some street alley depicted on it, but for now this is all we have of it.

Darlene's assistant painted some nice pots of flowers and vines around the elevator giving it such a warm and inviting effect.

0 A WALK THROUGH A WINTER BLIZZARD OF 2013 (60 Snapshots)

This was our first major winter storm this year and we have to admit we didn't get hit as bad as most places in the USA or even most places up north here in Canada, but it was a blizzard that was worth capturing through snapshots anyways for those of you who have never experienced it!  A walk that usually takes us about 35 mins on a good day, took us 2 hours this day.

We started our walk off from this building which, by the time we ventured out, was already covered in quite a bit of snow.  Check out the snow on top of the cars...

The wind was blowing strong at times hence the visibility in some of our pics. Snow was flying around everywhere including in our faces.  We finally found a bit of reprieve in a local plaza...

It had been roughly 3 weeks later when Darlene and her assistant started working on the other side of the hallway - including the elevator.

3 A LONG-TERM CARE HOME MURAL-MAKEOVER: PART 1 OF 4 (25 Snapshots)

We were visiting a long-term care home when we noticed some changes going on. They were getting the walls prepped for some painting, but not just any kind of painting.  A mural makeover was about to take place!

Darlene was the artist who took on this project, with the aid of her partner.  It took them roughly over a month and a half to complete this challenging task. It would have been shorter she said but she was working on other projects at the time, and finding the appropriate time to do this kind of work in a long-term care home, (when residents were asleep in bed), proved to be an extra challenge in itself.

1 Sani-Resort - Halkidiki, GREECE (41 Snapshots)

More daydreaming of warmth, sunshine and sand... Sorry, we don't do winter well!

Sani Resort is situated on the magnificent Kassandra peninsula, the first of the three beach-fringed peninsulas of Halkidiki. Sani overlooks Mount Olympus and is close to the glorious but unspoiled beaches of the Sithonia peninsula.

Here we stayed at the Porto Sani Village back in September of 2010, and the service, sun and scenery were all excellent!  It is also a great family resort for those who have kids!

What can we say?  The pool areas were clean and the sun beds - comfy!

Well, it's that time of year.  There is no doubt about it.  Christmas is in the air.  We've already seen shops and malls decorated with and selling christmas decorations, trees etc. from as early as the middle of November (when most of these shots were taken) and people are getting in the spirit.  We've been busy but we've managed to capture a few snapshots!

We were in Belgium visitng friends in Flanders and guess what.. it was carnival time!  Even though we had no kids 'on hand', we sure felt like kids once again just walking through it all!  The colours were so vibrant all over that we we just had to capture the moment.  Aaaah.  The memories of carnival time.  It's the same everywhere!  No matter where in the world they are, the rides and the fond memories of carnival time are always the same.

Ok, yes I, (Kath) admit... I am one of those 'Walmart People' also.  I jumped out of bed, did the 'wash-your-face-brush-your-teeth' thingy, and 'threw on' some clothes so I apologize for my fashion disaster but I was not planning on taking pics that morning when I rushed into Walmart to pick up some urgently needed supplies.

We eventually decided to get some halloween treats for the trick-or-treaters.  As I was shopping, I notice at the back of the store, all the Halloween costumes and trinkets and hats and..... anyways I got all excited.  I ran back out to my car, grabbed my camera, and asked my friend (since she didn't want to get her pic taken since she wasn't in fashion either), to take the following pics to share with our viewers!

4 Car Hunting... (13 Snapshots)

We've decided to go car hunting for the fun of it.  Every where we go - there are all kinds of sales going on.  Who knows?  Maybe we'll actually buy a car if the price is right.

We know we don't like them too small - so for now, our biggest dilema is European... or American.



We drove by this one stretch of road in our town and discovered there were 3 car dealerships alone in a half-a-block strip.

Some were even open on Sundays!

Hmmm, this BMW didn't look too bad...
