We were missing the warmth and came across these 'old' photos from a year ago on a trip we took on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line (RCCL), and thought we'd share them with you guys.
We were in Florida...
Fort Lauderdale Marriott Hotel - so tropical, hard to believe your are in the continental US |
Fort Lauderdale Marriott - view from room. This hotel is only about ten minutes to the Oasis berth at Port Everglades. |
We'll never look at a cruise vacation the same way again. This cruise experience was amazing! Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship, has innovations like the first-ever Boardwalk and Central Park at sea, which uniquely occupy space that's carved out of the middle of the ship!

View of Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale from RCCL's Oasis of the Seas. |

One of the many restaurants aboard the Oasis. Hello guys! |
150 Central Park Restaurant |
Very cool series of wooden carousel horses in various stages of completion. |

Oasis Boardwalk area - Johnny Rockets on the right |
Central ship area. Oasis of the Seas. |
This ship accommodates 6,296 passengers - when all berths are filled! Central Park was our favourite place to hang out when other spots were too crowded.
View overlooking stern - Aquatheatre and Boardwalk |
Midship view looking aft. |
Great spot near the bow of the ship - 16+ only! |

Carousel onboard! Free to everyone! |
The food.. the view... everything was fantastic! So much food! We all gained AT LEAST 5lbs each in 10 days!
Labadee, Haiti is simply stunning. View from the stateroom. |

The quite spacious stateroom with oceanview balcony. Very comfortable beds. Oasis of the Seas. |
Oasis' main dining room - multilevel. The columns are straight - it's our lens that bent them! |
Tide's up! At the Rising Tide Bar. A view from below the floating bar that elevates several stories every hour or so. Oasis of the Seas. |
Breakfast over the waves! |
Breakfast over the waves. Oasis of the Seas. No digestive troubles the entire cruise. Thank you, RCCL! |
Yes, we're still on the ship...
Main garden area. Oasis of the Seas |
Oasis of the Seas. No wonder it felt like a land hotel at times. |
Their sister ship...
Not what it appears to be...Aboard the RCCL Monarch of the Seas, Nassau, Bahamas. |
Heading back on the last morning at sea. You will notice another RCCL ship to the right below the sun in the distance. It travelled alongside our ship all night long. Great safety and rescue idea, don't you think? |
Bye, bye RCCL. Till we meet again...
Photos taken by our friend "Steve"!
